“TSVA” traveling project opens GAP training courses at more than 200 farms

 

Pig farmers in Udon Thani Province and Livestock Area 4, more than 200 farms, participated in GAP standard training by the Northeastern Pig Farmers Association. Together with the Thai Pig Farm Veterinary Association Organized the “TSVA” project to travel the upper northeastern region. Open training course “Good agricultural practices for livestock for pig farm operators” on August 25, 2023 at Udon Dusadee Room Charoen Hotel, Mueang District, Udon Thani Province

 

With the quality of rights Thanakiatpinyo President of the Northeastern Pig Farmers Association Honored to open the event this time. At the event, there were a large number of members and farmers interested in participating in training and viewing a pig farm exhibition from leading companies in innovation and animal raising technology.

 

At the event there was a lecture giving knowledge. Among the interesting topics is the topic “Raising the level of biosecurity to fight ASF from the real thing” by female veterinarian Dr. Metta Mekanon, lecturer from the Thai Swine Farm Veterinarian Association. By giving priority to the number one cause of infection entering the farm, which is the issue of workers, 

 

including farms that raise in an open format. And closed farms that use the EVAP (Evaporative cooling system) system can also be infected. If there is no strict control Employees are required to have a thorough shower before entering the farm every time. Due to the current use of disinfectant sprays It is not enough to kill germs before entering the farm. 

 

And walking across the boundaries of employees from different departments can cause infection. As for carrier animals, such as birds, rats, flies, dogs and cats, they are another group that can bring the virus onto the farm. which requires good management
