       14 December 2020 – General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister, honored to preside over the ceremony of presenting the Industry Award 2020 

(The Prime Minister’s Industry Award 2020) with Mr. Suriya Jungrungruangkit. The Minister of Industry gave a report together with Mr. Kritchanon Aiyapanya, Secretary to the Minister of Industry, Ms. Suchada Tansap, Ministry of Industry Spokesperson, Mr. Kobchai Sangsitsawat. Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industry Deputy Permanent Secretary, 

     Ministry of Industry and more than 350 executives and civil servants from the Ministry of Industry, the media, and industrial entrepreneurs. On this occasion, Mr. Natthaphon Rangsitphon, Director-General of the Department of Industrial Promotion, Mr. Phasakorn Chairat, Mr. Bainoy Suwanchatri and Mr. Jetnipit Rodpai, Deputy Director General of the Department of Industrial Promotion Executives and civil servants of the Department of Industrial Promotion (SSO) participated in the said ceremony at the Royal Thai Army Club, Vibhavadi Rangsit Road.

The Prime Minister’s Industry Award ceremony has been held every year since 1993 until today, its 28th year. This industry award It is one of the activities organized by the Ministry of Industry. To build morale and honor entrepreneurs with initiative. 

   They are diligent and diligent in creating things that are beneficial to the country’s industrial development. There are strict criteria for selecting entrepreneurs who receive awards each year. To allow establishments to develop their businesses, personnel, build skills, improve and develop knowledge in various fields to be consistent with current and future circumstances.

This year, there were establishments that passed the selection criteria and received awards. Total of 79 prizes.

Consisting of 3 groups as follows:

1. Best Industry Award, 1 award

Including F&N Dairies (Thailand) Company Limited, which is a manufacturer and distributor of consumer products. 

Under brands such as Carnation, Teapot, Magnolia, Bear Brand, it is also an establishment that has been promoted, developed and supported by the Office of the Basic Education Commission through various activities/projects. It is a decision from establishments that have previously received outstanding industry awards in no less than 3 categories.

2. Outstanding Industry Awards, divided into 8 categories, totaling 48 awards.

3. Outstanding Small and Medium Industry Awards, divided into 4 categories, 30 awards from a total of 260 applicants for selection. In addition, honorable mention awards were given. Awarded to entrepreneurs in the section of the Outstanding Small and Medium Industry Awards, totaling 5 awards, to encourage entrepreneurs to continue improving and developing their businesses. 

    All types of industry awards They are all important parts in building a strong foundation for the Thai industrial sector. Develop entrepreneurs to have the potential to compete in the world trade arena. and able to cope with changes quickly It is also a part of promoting and supporting the advancement of the Thai industrial sector. As well as building confidence in Thai industrial products to be accepted in the international market. as well as develop the country towards stability, prosperity and sustainability.
