Going to restore 400,000 tons of marine shrimp production in 2023
Results of the meeting of the management committee for marine shrimp production chains and products (Shrimp Board) No. 1/2023 has approved the 2023 Marine Shrimp Action Plan, drafted by the Working Group for the 2023 Marine Shrimp Action Plan under the supervision of the Print the board in accordance with and in accordance with the policy of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives.
As for the Shrimp Action Plan 2023, which was approved by the Chipboard. It is an urgent plan to be implemented in 2023 with the objective of restoring marine shrimp production to 400,000 tons within this year.
It consists of 3 main strategies, including marketing promotion strategies. Strategies to increase production efficiency of marine shrimp and strategies for preventing and resolving marine shrimp disease problems. which has activities that drive the marine shrimp industry from upstream to downstream under the market-led production policy
such as promoting shrimp consumption within the country and abroad purchase price assurance Promoting knowledge and understanding of the criteria and regulations of marine shrimp exports promoting the use of quality seedlings suitable for production potential; promoting the use of technology and innovation in marine shrimp aquaculture;
Supporting access to funds for solving marine shrimp disease problems at the hatchery/nursery and farm levels Training/educating and understanding about marine shrimp disease mobile clinic and promoting the establishment of private laboratories to provide examination services for aquatic animal diseases, etc.
And the Shrimp Board has also appointed two additional working groups: a Working Group to Solve Marine Shrimp Disease; and the working group to select suitable marine shrimp species in each area To jointly drive the implementation of the action plan to be more efficient.
Restoration of marine shrimp production in Thailand There is a starting point from stakeholders sharing a draft and giving opinions. But such plans are difficult to complete. If there is a lack of work drive from all sectors involved
Chipboard can only hope that Shrimp people from all sectors will work together to restore Thai shrimp production successfully this year.
